New Patients
Welcome to Ballard Natural Medicine!
Before You Schedule
Your first step is to choose your physician. Please see our staff bios to learn about each of our physician’s specialties and philosophies and find who fits you best. Once you have chosen who you would like to see, please visit our Billing and Fees page to make sure the physician you would like to see is contracted with your insurance, or to review our out-of-pocket billing policies.
We strongly recommend that you call your insurance and make sure your specific plan has naturopathic benefits. There is a difference between your doctor being in-network (has a contract with the insurance company) and your plan having naturopathic benefits (your insurance company will pay for a naturopath’s services). If you have an insurance your doctor is not in-network with, or find out that you do not have naturopathic benefits, you will be able to pay for your visit out-of-pocket.
Schedule Your Appointment
You can schedule your first visit online or by giving us a call at 206-632-2154. We will need your insurance information and a Visa or a Mastercard at the time you schedule. Appointments requested online are considered ‘pending’ until approved by our staff.
After Scheduling
You will receive an email when you schedule your appointment with an invitation to join our patient portal through Charm. Once you’ve registered your portal, all of the new patient forms we require are available as questionnaires which can be completed online. Please complete the online forms within two days of receiving your portal invitation.
If you have any difficulties, please call our office for assistance.
First Visit
Your first visit at Ballard Natural Medicine will last 45-60 minutes. You can expect an in-depth discussion about your health history and healthcare needs. It is helpful if you bring along copies of previous lab results, vaccination records, and a complete list of medications and supplements that you are taking. You can also upload these to your patient portal before your visit. If you don’t have access to this information, we can request them when you come in for your appointment.
